As if the universe were coordinated, 2019 will end a few days after the solar eclipse that marks the beginning of an important energy cycle, indicating the pace of the changes that we’ll experience in 2020.

BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE ECLIPSE

What is it?

It will be an annular solar eclipse, which means that the Moon will move between the Sun and the Earth, but on its farthest orbit from our planet, so it will not fully cover the Sun. A ring of light (or ring of fire) will be seen around it, hence its name.

When?

December 25 or 26, 2019, depending on the city you live in.

It begins at 2:29 a.m. Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) but the “real action” would be at 3:43 a.m (UTC). Convert for your location here.

Where will it be seen?

Eastern Africa, Asia and in the northern half of Oceania.

The “ring of fire” will last for 2 minutes 50 seconds in Saudi Arabia.

How long will it last?

336 minutes. Just over 5 hours.

ITS ASTROLOGICAL MEANING

This eclipse is a conjunction of the Moon and the Sun in the sign of Capricorn. However, these two luminaries are not alone. In this same sign are Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn and the asteroid Ceres. This meeting of planets in the same sign is known as stellium, which accumulates a significant amount of energy.

This “party” in the same sign, plus the eclipse in Capricorn, indicates the beginning of a very important cycle that will last six months, and where we’ll learn about healthy boundaries, understand that sometimes “less is more” and to eliminate attitudes and toxic situations that we have been enduring for a long time.

It is a real and lasting growth opportunity. We will learn to stop wanting everything for “NOW” and instead value patience as the best advisor. It is about building solid and strong bases. To achieve this you will need to take adequate time to sow clear intentions and, after a six-month period, reap all the work done.

Last but not least, there will be special energy which can help us work on deep emotional wounds that keep us from growing. It is important to learn to read the external signals that invite us to heal and, consequently, live a little bit lighter.

How would you like to use this energy to change your life?
