SFER IK in Tulum, the first exhibition space of our interdisciplinary creative sphere, was chosen by TIME magazine as one of the World’s Greatest Places for 2019.

The list highlights 100 destinations around the world that are breaking new ground, leading industry trends and offering visitors an extraordinary experience. 

“SFER IK doesn’t look like an ordinary exhibition space—and that’s the point. The Tulum location’s nestlike structure was conceived as a place where avant-garde artists could gather and envision new ways to create, inspired by their unusual environs”, writes TIME reporter Wilder Davies.

To assemble their second annual list of the World’s Greatest Places, the magazine solicited nominations from its correspondents around the world as well as industry experts. They evaluated each one on key factors including quality, originality, innovation, and influence.

The art museum, which forms part of the sanctuary for reconnection AZULIK Tulum, was included in the Places To Visit list for its organic architecture and for being one of the places that give travelers “the sense that one has stumbled upon the extraordinary.”

The September issue of the magazine goes on sale today (August 23rd).
